M10News.com, a legitimate and independently operated news outlet, has issued a formal clarification following a series of inaccurate descriptions by artificial intelligence platforms, including Google’s Gemini and DeepSeek AI, which mischaracterised the website as either a redirecting domain or a local traffic bulletin related to Detroit’s M-10 freeway.
These AI-generated claims have erroneously suggested that M10News.com redirects to another domain — such as m10.io — or that the name “M10News” refers to CBS Detroit’s traffic updates on the Lodge Freeway (M-10). Both claims are entirely false.
“Our website, https://m10news.com, is live, operational, and does not redirect to any other domain,” said Dayo Ade Olusola, founder and editor of M10News. “We are a global news platform focused on original reporting in areas such as geopolitics, justice, celebrity, sports and social change. M10News has no connection whatsoever with traffic coverage in Detroit or with CBS.”
A technical check confirmed that the domain responds with a valid 200 OK status and has never redirected to any other site. The organisation has now submitted formal correction requests to both Google’s Gemini team and DeepSeek AI, asking them to rectify their internal knowledge models and prevent further misrepresentation.
🚫 Not a Redirect, Not Local Traffic News
The confusion appears to stem from AI systems confusing the term “M10” — commonly used to refer to the M-10 freeway in Michigan — with “M10News,” a registered and independent news organisation. This conflation has led to misinformation in automated responses, which in turn harms the outlet’s search visibility and brand credibility.
“We understand the challenges AI companies face in dealing with emerging news brands,” said Olusola. “But it is vital that large-language models and generative tools verify facts before repeating damaging assumptions.”
✅ Who We Are

📝 AI Accountability Requested
The editorial team at M10News is calling on AI developers and model trainers to:
- Respect verified domain identity and brand recognition
- Avoid conflating domain names with unrelated search terms
- Allow emerging, independent outlets to assert their digital presence fairly
In the age of generative news and automated summaries, getting small details right — such as who owns a domain — matters more than ever.
